Latest News

December 4th, 2002

Fear not, some things are always worth waiting for. So, here is the latest.

As of today, NJ is the first site on the 'Net to get access to the brand new Official Squadron Web site. Its a promotional site and is coming in 3 parts.

Stage 1 is mostly background about the history and characters, of which we have already seen glimpses. Now however, the characters are all now rendered.

Stage 2 will realistically come after Xmas when there will be actual screenshots from the programme. The final phase of the web site will be very soon after that when the trailer(s) should be posted.

Make no mistake, this is a scoop, so please, let the makers of Squadron know:

<Wayne/Garth Voice> we are worthy </Wayne/Garth Voice>.

The team behind Squadron have released a draft lead-in for the show. You can get the full document in the Backgrounds section. Here is a short excerpt.

"Following the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York City, the mass poisoning in China and the chemically induced blight that left 17 million dead and rendered a major part of the Indian sub-continent uninhabitable for generations, it was the turn of Commerce to see if sense could be retrieved from the chaos. Only then would everything be well with the world. Perhaps."

Checkout the theme music from Squadron. Specially recorded by Bjorn Lynne, the track is entitled "No Surrender". The recording is 4.3 MB in size and is recorded in MP3 format. You can get it from the Squadron Multimedia page.

Coming January 10, 2002 - shockwave movie.

From the creators of Squadron:

Odyssey.

A name of legend. A name of history.

Once the greatest Colony of Earth, its glittering legacy now lies in ruins, it's people lost and forgotten.

But a time was coming when Earth would need its legends, if there were any left to believe in ...
